Please arrange your own travel to Ili (Yining). Our staff will provide pick-up service based on your flight or train arrival time and assist you in checking in at the reserved hotel.

Depart from Yining and travel along the Yizhao Highway (scheduled from June to September; if closed, we’ll take the expressway to Zhaosu). Known as one of Xinjiang’s most scenic routes, this road is a must for road-trippers, offering breathtaking views of vast grasslands, lush forests, lavender and rapeseed fields, snow-capped peaks, and dramatic cliffs.

Explore Xata Scenic Area (minimum 4 hours). Once a vital passageway between Yili and Aksu on the ancient Silk Road, this rugged trail—also called the “Xuanzang Route”—boasts stunning vistas of the Muzart Glacier, wildflowers, grazing livestock, crystal streams, and forests. Keep an eye out for playful marmots! For the best experience, opt for the 8km round-trip hike (optional) through the park’s most picturesque section.
